DOJ: Alum Death PDF Print E-mail

We are "shocked, shocked to find" that a recent alumnus of the DOJ was found dead and thus has now stopped talking.   In true Vince Foster fashion, the demise of Mr. Levy is being officially characterized as a gun related suicide.

It really doesn't matter if Mark I. Levy, Esq. blew his own brains out with a gun because he couldn't cut the deal he wanted for himself, or if he was simply too scared to enjoy life anymore.  Because it could be just as likely that poor Mark had his brains blown out by organized crime which learned, or merely suspected, that Levy had started talking to some clean Feds and was about to spill the beans.

As if another appearance of a suicide which conveniently terminated a persons ability to spill the beans on organized crime involving current and former DOJ lawyers was "news".  As if we are supposed to believe that the successful head of Kilpatrick Stockton's Supreme Court and appellate practice, having appeared 16 times before the Supreme Court, and having been a U.S. Attorney in the prior Democratic administration was really getting laid off and had no job prospects.  As if John Ashcroft's words have not already caused some clean Feds at the FBI to investigate some DOJ lawyers.

Readers of bankruptcyMisconduct.com are not so easily manipulated by the immediate leaks "he was getting laid off" and "an apparrent suicide" which are clearly designed to cover up the real story here.  As if "unnamed" cops had any authority to usurp the role of a Coroner and official CSI types  so as to thwart the investigation of an obvious crime before it begins.  This type of official whitewash only happens when deep corruption within law enforcement frantically tries to cover up its own mess, such as when one of the New York State Troopers who had been on duty to guard Eliot Spitzer during his trysts with the prostitution ring (organized crime) is found dead.  Such as when the D.C. Madam is found dead.  People who "know too much" are killed by organized crime when a boss gets nervous, even if they haven't started spilling the beans yet.

Mark Levy could have written his own ticket at any number of firms, and he was perfectly situated - already living in commuting distance of Washington, DC - for a role in Obama's new administration.  There is no plausable explanation for Mr. Levy's death based upon suicide.  As if a lawyer experienced in major appeals, supreme court appearances, and as a U.S. Attorney had never been subjected to struggle, stress, or sudden career change.

Our readers have known for quite a while that the trail of DOJ corruption in which DOJ lawyers and alumni seek to profit by their corrupt dealing of de facto immunity for the benefit of their financial and family relations is presenting emerging opportunities for Federal Special Prosecutor Wannabes.  We have known that something's coming.

The stink in D.C. ain't just rising from the putrid pot of Honest Services Fraud issues simmering at the SEC - such as when SEC lawyers are married into organized crime families for example: the Madoff Ponzi Scheme and the Director of Enforcement being married to a partner at a BigLaw law firm catering to hedge funds and broker dealers.

People (and that includes you lawyers) there comes a time when all great men and women realize that the game is having some big rule changes.  As corny as it sounds, protecting criminals is a loosing business in the long run.

Please realize that you will never be viewed as anything more than just a pawn by the bigger players staring over your shoulders at the chessboard.  Your best protection, your only protection, is for you to disseminate the truth simultaneously to several government, legislative, as well as outside new media people.  Burn a copy to a CD which you send to a relative or a trusted person just in case you disappear or are found having "killed yourself".

Remember, Tony Soprano killed some of his "innocent" brothers in his crime family when he merely (and incorrectly) assumed that they were spilling the beans.  Don't believe that the organized crime players you got mixed up with first give you a phone call before they act asking "Hey, are you talking with any Feds about such and such?".

You can just sit there in your office everyday, blindly trusting the throngs of lawyers at your current and former firms who have just been let go, that they won't leapfrog you and cut their own deal.  Are all of those fired associates, all of those who failed to make partner, going to stay quiet when this economy is showing them that they will never make it?  Just sit there having blind faith that the many thousands of former BSD's at Merryl, Bear Stearns, Lehman, and other sell side shops, the former hedge fund employees, and at the imploding banks, will all remain silent to protect your miserable attorney behind.  As if all of those "undisclosed" conflicts will stay buried.

Do you really trust these people?

Protect yourself now. Cut your deal.   Before it is too late!   The world is turning upside down, and the new paradigm has only started. Wall Street is eviscerated, and law firms are now suffering like never before.  It is just a matter of time.  We were right about Eliot Spitzer.  We have downloadable documents which back up our bold statements.  What do you have besides broken dreams?  What's wrong with watching out for yourself?
